Famous Dave’s

We went to Famous Dave’s for the first time the other day. It was good, but not great. The price was right, but I thought the quantity of the food could have been slightly higher and the chicken was all dark meat. Alternatively, at our other favorite Tex-Mex restaurant in Eau Claire, we can get double the portions and all white meat chicken breasts for the same price. Like I said, it was good, but not great.

Matrix Revolutions

It seems either you liked it or you hated it. I liked it. It was very different than I though it was going to be, which was probably a good thing as it kept me guessing. A little slow moving and probably could have been two movies instead of three, but the end was worth the wait. Now I can get back to my movie theater boycott I guess…

Matrix Reloaded

I saw the new Matrix movie last night when it opened. I must say it was well written, although the first hour of the movie was boring. The fight scenes are great too. Very philosophical, as you would expect from a Matrix sequel. Spoiler alert: I found this Slashdot post and this followup to be quite interesting after having seen the movie. The Royal Tenenbaums

If you haven’t seen this movie yet, rent it or buy it. It’s simply brilliant and delightful. Excellent casting and clever plot. You’ll be hard-pressed in choosing your favorite character. Oh yeah, and it’s my birthday today. I haven’t felt this good since I was 23!
